Turns out that Mr. Potato Head hats kind of fit Jack, and actually do fit Murdoc.

Approaching Human

I started running a fever late Tuesday and I think I have a lesser version of what Clayton has. Unfortunately, I suffered from a fever a day longer than I probably should have. When you're running a 102-103.6 degree fever, things that take extra effort aren't really high on your list of priorities. For some reason, I thought the sudafed I was taking had something for fevers and aches. The box had gone missing, and I wasn't up to investigating until this morning. Turns out I was wrong, and a couple of excederin later, I was feeling up to making a trip to the grocery store.

I ended up making it out of the grocery store with pretty much everything besides the reason I went today. However, since Passover is in a few weeks, I was able to get some kosher Coke. Surprisingly, it was on sale. They seemed to have a pretty good stock right now, but I wouldn't expect it to last more than a week or so.

In spite of running a low grade fever, Paul has been alternating his rest periods with running around the second floor and asking a million questions a minute. "Mama, why does your throat hurt? Mama, you better not take too much medicine. Too much medicine is bad! Mama, can you read me a story?" and so on. He finally decided to settle down earlier this morning and read over my shoulder while I was catching up on feeds. Of course, the only problem with that is that marketing is incredibly effective on 3 year olds and he decided he really wanted a grill. Just as well I wasn't reading one of my gadget feeds.

Study Skills: You’re Doing it Wrong…

For some reason, the book for my required University 100 class (aka study skills) has a section on preventing pregnancy and STDs. Of course, if you fail to prevent pregnancy, the book recommends using TV as a babysitter to get some study time in.

I was just going through some of the pictures I took last month. I'd forgotten I'd snapped this picture of Paul somewhere in North Carolina or Tennessee. He spent a good bit of his time in the car pretending to check his email and read feeds. He's also able to play some of the easier games too.

Last One Standing

This last week hasn't been very kind to my family and friends as far as getting sick goes. The flu is going around and [info]tomorrowsangel is stuck with a sinus and double ear infection. Yesterday, Paul came down with what Clayton has and has been running a fever off and on. Jack decided to get in on the action today by eating his food a little too fast this morning. I think I'm the only one not sick right now.

It's very odd how different Paul is when he's sick. He's usually literally bouncing off the walls, won't let anyone hold him, and fights me when it's time to do something. Yesterday, he was content to lay on the couch and doze off and on. Today, he's feeling well enough to flip through my University 100 book and ask me multiple questions about each page, but not well enough to zoom around the room.

If I can just make it past this weekend without getting sick, I should be able to finish up the last little bit of work in my University 100 class and finish the tests for my speech class. I will be very glad to be done with my University 100 class, since the book has a very pop psychology feel too it.
