Congratulations are in order…

for Tamara and Andrew. It's hard to believe, but their little girl arrived this evening just before 10. For awhile, it was looking like she was shooting for a February birthday. Mama and baby are doing great. I'm looking forward to going to visit once everyone has a had a chance to recover from today.

Amy, thanks for keeping us updated today. Paul made it a little difficult to get to the phone today and by the time he was in bed, I was worried about waking everyone up over there.

When four of my friends look back on February 24, 2006, they will remember that it was a day that marked the end of an era in their lives.

Tamara and Andrew were married in a lovely ceremony performed her sister. Good friends, good food, and good wine... can't think of anyway better to celebrate getting married. So here's to Tamara and Andrew- May last night be the first of many happy times you'll share during your marriage.

Maria and Jason were there also. Maria was due next week, but it turns out that the wedding will be their last outing before they officially become parents. As I write this, Maria and Jason are at the hospital, waiting on their little boy to make his appearance. I'm guessing he will probably make his way into the world by early evening at the latest, but I'm hoping Maria's labor will be short and easy.

Rawr! I am ginormo baby and I like to party!

Today was Tamara and Andrew's party. Since they live fairly close to work, we decided that I'd drop Clayton off at work, since I was heading over early to help set up. We really did not want to have to drive 2 cars back after the party. Tamara and I got the everything set up, had lunch, and even had time to rest before the party started. Since we would be gone most of the evening, Tamara babysat Paul while I went home to play with Jack before the party started. Read more »

Party Preparations

Tamara and Andrew are throwing a party tomorrow, so I've been helping Tamara get ready for it. Yesterday we went to the Wegman's in Dulles, since it was a 2 cart shopping trip. Paul decided to pick out something for his daddy (Ok, it was really for him, but Clayton likes the meringue cookies so I got them anyway). Paul is definitely beginning to pay more attention to his surroundings and attempt to interact with them. He attempted to grab several brightly colored things, so I had to be careful how close to the shelves I parked the cart when I reached down to get something. His favorite part of the store was the flower shop, where we picked up some orangey-yellow begonias for our new neighbors. Read more »
