[Geocaching] Delorme Challenge Grids for Virginia, Maryland and Delaware

I've been working on the Virginia and Maryland + Delaware Delorme Challenges. Tracking which rectangles I've completed is a bit of a pain, so I made a couple of draw layers for Delorme Street Atlas. I had to guesstimate the longitudes on the inner edge of the Gazetteer, but everything should be accurate to within about 30 seconds.

As of right now, they only work in Delorme Street Atlas, but if I have time, I might get around to making them compatible with Google Earth. Hopefully I should have Tennessee and Louisiana up by the end of the week.

Paul likes to help open caches, and he decided to work on opening the log container. He managed to get the top off and both of us got a surprise. Read more »

In which Paul hangs on to a straw for 2 states…

I had decided it would be best to pack the car last night, so I could just put Paul in his carseat and go. Paul was still a little sleepy and napped when we drove up to Herndon to pick up Tamara. After getting gas and our morning caffeine fix, we took the toll road out to Anandale to pick up Maria. After that, we were supposed to take I395 to I295 to US 50. Well, it wouldn't be a good road trip if we didn't get lost at least once....our trip officially became "good" about 7 minutes after we got off 395. Read more »
