
After Clayton got home, I decided to run to Wegman's to pick up a few things without Paul underfoot. As I passed the hotel near our house, I thought I saw the Wienermobile out of the corner of my eye, so I stopped to take a picture. I thought Paul and I would walk over after supper, but by the time I managed to get him out the door, it had already moved on.
When you live in an area that is bounded by 2 major highways and an interstate, it is rare for it to be completely quiet. Even when the roads are empty, there is the constant white noise of our many computers, the air conditioner, the ceiling fan, and various other electronic appliances. Paul had a pretty busy day today. After eating his cereal, he spent most of the morning on the floor working on crawling, playing with his shape sorter, and playing with Jack. After his lunch, I tried to get him to nap, but he wasn't going to have any of it. Around 1:30, I got him ready for Little Gym and we drove over to Fairfax Corner. Read more »

We've been having an odd spring so far. It's been averaging around 10-12 degrees cooler this May than it has in the past few years. We've had three inches of rain dumped on us in roughly 15 hours, so it's only in the low 50s right now. I'm ready for the weather to warm up, so our pool will finally open. Jack isn't overly fond of the rain, since he can't go run around in the backyard or go for walks. Read more »
